Listen: John C. Reilly Reads ‘As a Father, I Was Hardly a Perfect Fit’

For six months, a divorced dad asked his 10-year-old son one simple question: “How big is your head?” On this week’s Modern Love podcast, John C. Reilly reads “As a Father, I Was Hardly a Perfect Fit,” an essay about parental guilt and the desperate search for a Yankees cap.

Tim Elhajj, the author of the essay, is a writer living in Seattle. In 2011, he published “Dopefiend: A Father’s Journey From Addiction to Redemption.

Mr. Reilly is the star of “The Sisters Brothers.” Stay tuned after the reading to hear from Mr. Reilly, Mr. Elhajj and his now-grown son, and the Modern Love editor Daniel Jones.
