Good Morning Britain star Lucy Verasamy, 38, said her and her friends managed to find a luxury spot during a night in the ski-destination but when they returned the next day, Prince William, 36, was sitting there. According to the Daily Mail, she explained: “One evening, we were lucky enough to grab a massive corner sofa overlooking the bar, have a couple of glasses of champagne and some nibbles. “The following night we returned a little later than we planned and discovered that Prince William and his friends had poached our favourite spot. You snooze, you lose.”
Back in March last year, the Duke of Cambridge was seen in the country’s popular destination Verbier.
The royal enjoyed a ski trip with three friends and was later seen partying at the Farinet club.
Meanwhile, Lucy regularly updates her social media fans with her trips overseas, with the star recently giving fans an insight into her trip to the Algarve in Portugal.
The brunette beauty informed her fans she had taken up golf as a new hobby but insisted she wasn’t very good at it.
She told the Daily Mail: “I took up golf last year.
“Before then, I hadn’t even picked up a club, let alone swung one at a ball.
“I’m still relatively new to it all and, after a fair few lessons, I think it’s pretty safe to say I need quite a few more. I’m consistently inconsistent.”
She added: “Recording some of my swings and shorter shots on her phone and watching the footage in slow motion was helpful when it came to looking at my swing in more detail.”
Lucy went on to say she “underestimated” how hard the sport was to play in the heat, adding: “With the Algarve temperatures, any activity had to be in the early mornings – then I could fit in a siesta by the hotel pool.
“Nothing beats an afternoon snooze in the sunshine.”
Lucy later took to her Instagram to share a picture of her in action on a golf course.
She flashed the flesh in a white t-shirt and tight black shorts, giving fans a glimpse of her well-defined pins.
Lucy uploaded the picture with the caption: “Fair weather golfer – a look back to last year as a first timer in the algarve in the @travelmail (link in bio).
“@yourgolftravel big thank you to Brian & Brittany patience of saints @pinky_burton.”
Many of her followers flocked to her page to comment on the upload.
One user commented: “Looking good on the golf green.”
A second added: “Well you look fab, that’s all that matters.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
Lucy Verasamy: Five facts you didn’t know about the weather woman
Before She Was Famous
Lucy Verasamy was born and grew up in Norfolk. She went on to graduate with a BSc in geography from London’s Brunel University 17 years ago. This led to a role at the Press Association as a forecaster, which she stayed at for four years.
Lucy once went on a “messy” night out with former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson. It all came about back in 2011 during the BBC motoring show’s live tour in South Africa, and she later labelled it a “lost weekend”. “It was definitely one of the best nights I’ve had,” she told the Mirror.
After doing a work experience placement, the star joined Sky and became the broadcaster’s regular weather presenter for breakfast show Sunrise. She was regularly seen on screen for half a decade before moving to ITV rival Daybreak.
Lucy Verasamy has revealed her worst ever holiday, which came about in her 20s and involved Havana in Cuba. After a series of flight delays, she arrived at her hotel that appeared to have blood stains on the floor. “We slept with our valuables under our pillow,” she told the MailOnline.
Live On Air
Earlier this year, the star received a cheeky comment from stand-in Good Morning Britain host, Richard Madeley. She was wearing a denim minidress for the instalment and joked that it might shrink in the rain. The Richard and Judy star then quipped: “I think you should pop outside at once and test it out.”
