Paola Duguet and Brett James Murphy were married May 19 at the Apawamis Club, a country club in Rye, N.Y. Susie Mordoh, a Universal Life minister, officiated.
Mrs. Murphy, 30, is an account executive at Ralph Lauren in New York. She graduated from Harvard.
She is a daughter of Teresa Duguet and Noel Duguet of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. The bride’s father, who is retired, was the founder and principal of Aravis Capital Advisors in New York. Her mother is an associate real estate broker in Briarcliff Manor for Houlihan Lawrence.
Mr. Murphy, 32, is a senior vice president for treasury management at Capital One in New York. He graduated from the University of Virginia.
He is the son of Lee Murphy and Jim Murphy of Pittsburgh. The groom’s mother is an interior designer in Pittsburgh. His father is a national sales manager at Covestro, a Pittsburgh-based supplier of high-tech polymer materials to various industries.
The couple met in 2012 through a mutual friend at a party in New York.
