Eight celebrities joined hosts Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman on Pointless this evening to raise money for charity.
But one round on the BBC quiz show saw Rory Bremner stumped.
After making it to the second round, Alexander introduced the next topic: “Our category for round two this evening is musicians.”
He went on to add: “It’s musicians.
“Can you decide in your pairs who is going to go first, who is going to go second.
“Who ever is going first please step up to the podium.”
After the pairs had decided which order they would answer the question, Alexander continued: “Okay and the question is all about musicians in haiku.”
Rory was clearly stunned by the theme as he loudly snapped at the host: “What?!
“What? I don’t even know what that is.”
His fellow competitors could be seen covering their mouths in shock while his companion Matt Forde turned away.
Alexander quickly tried to reassure him: “Musicians in haiku. It’s not as bad as it sounds.”
His co-host Richard also stepped in to calm down the celebrities, who were clearly unsure of what to expect.
“We are going to give you six clues on each board,” he began. “The answer to each clue is a famous musician but the clues are in the form of a haiku.
“That’s a Japanese poem, five syllables, seven syllables, five syllables.
“It is simply clues to famous musicians.”
Alexander added: “Not that bad as it turns out.”
Despite their initial shock at the theme of the round, Rory and Matt went on to progress to the semi-final.
However, they were beaten by Alistair McGowan and Ronni Ancona.
Pointless Celebrities continues Saturday on BBC One at 7.30pm.
