Sara Paige Schulman and Adam Jacob Caslow are to be married July 29. Rabbi Irwin A. Zeplowitz is to officiate at the Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyo.
The bride, 33, who will be taking her husband’s name, is known as Sari. She is a physician assistant at Sports Medicine Chelsea, a group medical practice in Manhattan. She graduated from the University of Georgia, completed a post-baccalaureate degree in premedical studies at San Francisco State University and received a master’s degree in health sciences from George Washington University.
She is a daughter of Eve J. Schulman and Dr. Scott R. Schulman of San Francisco. Her father is the pediatric cardiac anesthesiology chief at the Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, which is part of University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Her mother retired as a physician assistant in the Santa Cruz, Calif., urgent-care clinic of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, a group practice.
The groom, 35, is a chief executive of Acme Smoked Fish in Brooklyn, a producer of smoked seafood; his father, Robert J. Caslow is a chairman of the company, which was founded by the groom’s great-grandfather, Harry Brownstein, in 1954. He graduated from Cornell.
He is the son of Dr. Miriam H. Caslow and Mr. Caslow of Port Washington, N.Y. The groom’s mother retired as a rheumatologist at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, which was then a subsidiary of Long Island Jewish Hospital, in New Hyde Park, N.Y.
The couple met in 2011 when a mutual friend introduced them at a beach in San Francisco, and they spent that same evening together at the Treasure Island Music Festival, also in San Francisco.
