Fox News’ Sean Hannity Thursday night extended an invitation to freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to come on his shows for a discussion — and to stay for the whole time and have a conversation.
“I want to give you an hour invitation to come on this show to have a discussion,” Hannity said on his television show. He also offered to bring her on his radio program for three hours.
“We get a lot of criticism on this program,” Hannity said. “We’ll talk, we’ll have a conversation. Hope you’ll join us.”
Hannity made his invitation at the end of his program, with Laura Ingraham, coming up next at 10 p.m., reminding him that she’d made the same offer to Ocasio-Cortez a few months ago. The outspoken New York Democrat did not accept.
The invitation comes after Ocasio-Cortez told The Washington Post she believes House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been singling out her and three fellow freshman congresswomen because they are women of color, drawing reactions from The View hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg and from several Democrats who back the speaker.
Earlier in Hannity’s program, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the growing Democratic feud is a win for President Donald Trump.
“If you’re one of these 31 Democrats, Sean, you’ve got to pick between the energy of the Fab Four and the practicality of Nancy Pelosi,” Graham told Hannity. “You’re in a no-win situation.”
“Why am I thinking that if I’m Donald Trump, I’m a happy guy tonight?” Hannity responded.
