The Leisure & Cultural Services Department today announced the launch of the Edutainment Channel, a one-stop online platform to keep people updated with the latest developments in arts, culture, recreation and sports.

The new channel replaced the department’s Online Resources Centre which had been in operation since April.

It features the 101 Academy, which introduces basic knowledge on culture, arts, science, sports, horticulture and animals. By watching online academy videos, people can access arts, cultural, recreational and sports resources from the comfort of their homes.

A “vis-a-vis +01” series, which utilises Internet technology to create an interactive experience, will be added to the academy later this month. It will include museum virtual-guided tours, online interactive sports training programmes and virtual guided tours of parks.

Additionally, information on the promotion of online reading and flora and fauna of the department’s major parks is also available on the channel.
