Kia will unveil its first electric car in March, the automaker said Sunday.
Kia aims to transform itself into an electric-car and mobility service provider. As part of that, it plans to launch seven electric cars by 2027, including passenger cars and SUVs.
Song Ho-sung, Kia’s president of global operations, said, “Our goal is to account for a 6.6 percent share of the global EV market by 2025 and sell 500,000 EVs annually by 2026.”
The first will be the CV, a crossover SUV that will be able to travel up to 500 km on a single charge that will take less than 20 minutes.
