Climate activist Greta Thunberg has found herself the subject of a criminal conspiracy probe in India after accidentally tweeting a document showing she was being told what to say about an ongoing violent farmers’ revolt. Thunberg is accused of “criminal conspiracy and promoting enmity on grounds of religion.” The revolt involves protests over controversial agricultural reforms and has led to clashes between farmers and police. Thunberg raised eyebrows by tweeting a link to a Google document which showed, according to the New York Post, that “she was getting told what to write on Twitter.” The “toolkit” included a list of “suggested posts,” advising her to tag celebrities such as pop singer Rihanna, and a proposal to highlight planned demonstrations at Indian embassies. Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg posted a document to Twitter containing tweets that she was told to post and actions she should take regarding the current protests in India. She quickly deleted the tweet. pic.twitter.com/ruEfp4Ypg1 — Breaking911 (@Breaking911) February 3, 2021   Greta Thunberg Part of a Criminal Conspiracy The “toolkit” was reportedly created by Canada’s Poetic Justice Foundation, a self-described grassroots group whose website states is “most actively involved in the #FarmersProtest.” Police in India, however, are investigating the group after a politician claimed the document contained “evidence of international plans for attacks against India.” Document shared by @GretaThunberg ,now deleted. Thunberg responded to the controversy with a subsequent tweet expressing support for the farmers. “I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest,” she wrote. “No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that.” I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest — Greta Thunberg (@GretaThunberg) February 4, 2021   Who Controls Greta? Aside from the criminal conspiracy trouble, this isn’t the first time Greta Thunberg has been accused of being fed information to disseminate to her followers. Last year, a supporter discovered the accounts behind some of Thunberg’s posts on Facebook were those belonging to her father Svante Thunberg and Indian climate change activist Adarsh Prathap. She denied the accusation saying, “All texts posted on my Facebook page has of course been written by me, just like everything else.” A recent Facebook glitch revealed the accounts posting for Greta Thunberg: her dad and Adarsh Prathap. Greta addressed the criticism on FB: ‘All texts posted on my Facebook page has of course been written by me, just like everything else.’ pic.twitter.com/abAkdW9RqA — Amanda (@AmandaPresto) January 13, 2020   In 2019, railway company Deutsche Bahn accused Greta of being less than truthful following a viral tweet showing her sitting on the floor of a train due to “overcrowding.” “It would have been even nicer if you had also reported how friendly and competently you were looked after by our team at your seat in first class,” the company wrote. Noch schöner wäre es gewesen, wenn Du zusätzlich auch berichtet hättest, wie freundlich und kompetent Du von unserem Team an Deinem Sitzplatz in der Ersten Klasse betreut worden bist. #Greta 2/2 — Deutsche Bahn AG (@DB_Presse) December 15, 2019   Thunberg was named Time Person of the Year in 2019 for her climate activism and later nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. She was a frequent foil for former President Trump who mocked her for having an “anger management problem.” Read more at the Political Insider
