Ford has just concluded its online world premiere for the all-new 2022 Ranger. With the model finding success globally and in the Philippines, this is a much-awaited refresh of what many consider both a workhorse and a toy.

With the design of this iteration of the Ranger, Ford claimed that they paid attention to what the customers wanted most: power, torque, reliability, off-road capabilities, and fun. The exterior details give the pick-up a muscular look, symbolizing the “Built Ford Tough” branding. This includes a wider, thicker stance, a sizeable integrated grille, and C-lamp headlights to illuminate the path ahead. The car’s chassis was extensively tested to ensure that the body can take as much punishment as it looks.

Sending power to the wheels are 3 diesel engine types which include an all-new turbocharged 3-liter, a revision of the previous turbocharged 2-liter, the V6 and 1 petrol variant. The newest addition here is the 3-liter PowerStroke V6 turbo diesel pulled out from the F-150, aiming to give the lighter Ranger substantially more oomph than ever before. Ford advertises that any of these engines will fulfill the balance of low-end hauling power with modern fuel efficiency.

All this brute strength and rigidity mean that you can take it on your adventures without worrying about anything. Whether it’s the mountains, rivers, or somewhere along the beaten path, the Ranger was built prepared to handle it all. After you’ve had your fun, the vehicle can go back to loading cargo with its tailgate workbench and adjustable tie-down points – keeping your precious items secure.

Don’t mistake the new Ford Ranger for some old-school brute, though. Ford has implemented its latest FordPass software into the vehicle. With this application, you can control the temperature inside your vehicle, remotely start it, check the service history, and do other tasks from the screen of your smartphone.

In addition to that, the interior is loaded with screens. The fully-digital cluster delivers all the information you need, while the redesigned 10.1 or 12-inch touchscreen acts as the cabin’s primary entertainment center. This central hub administers all software updates as well as presents which adaptive drive mode the Ranger is in, befitting of the terrain. If you’re someone who needs to keep your phone on at all times, a wireless charging pad is also discreetly placed in the storage cubby.
