Carol Vorderman: Countdown legend ‘deliberately’ blanks fan on Twitter | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Carol Vorderman, a regular on ITV’s Lorraine, was left in a fit of laughter following a message from one of her fans on Twitter last week.

The 58-year-old presenter was interrogated by a Coronation Street superfan after she failed to follow them back on the social media platform.

On her account, the TV personality told fans she had “so much happening” in her life, including dinner with Absolutely Fabulous actress Joanna Lumley and a Martin Luther King march in Washington DC.

In response to the star’s post, Carol’s admirer wrote: “With such a busy schedule it’s no wonder you keep forgetting my Twitter follow.”

Replying, the mother-of-two quipped: “Um… how do I tell him it’s deliberate?” which was followed by a two laughing face emojis.

“You make me laugh too much with your begging @I_am_KenBarlow… you know how it goes!” she continued.

Responding to her post, another fan joked about the user using a character’s name from Coronation Street as their Twitter handle: “Hate to break it to you Ken but I think she’s a Mike Baldwin fan.

“What woman can resist a man who ran a knicker factory?”

Joining in on the fun, Carol jested: “Mr Noodle has a valid knicker point Ken.”

Carol, who is often admired by her legion of loyal fans, was recently complimented on her peachy bottom by Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke.

The professional dance joined the Countdown favourite on her BBC Radio Wales show last month and the pair spoke about the Rear of the Year awards.

Introducing the BBC regular to the programme, Carol said: “My gorgeous fellow Rear of the Year, I was Rear of the Year one year and who was the male Rear of the Year winner at the same time.”

“We did compare rears,” 52-year-old Anton quipped.

“Mine was a lot bigger than yours, Anton, at the time,” Carol chipped in, prompting him to add: “Firm though.”

“Always firm,” the radio presenter laughed, before referring to the performer’s behind as “small buns”.

Carol is a two-time Rear of the Year winner, scooping the accolade in 2011 and becoming the first star to win twice when she collected the gong for the second time in 2014.

In 2011, Anton was named the male Rear of the Year winner alongside her.

At the time, the champions were pictured cosying up for a cheeky photo shoot to celebrate, both wearing tight-fitting blue jeans to show off their award-winning assets.

One photograph captured Anton placing his hand on her pert derrière as she giggled, leaning in to rest against his chest.

She looked sensational in her figure-hugging trousers, flaunting her shapely pins, which she elongated further in a pair of towering stiletto heels.
