Emmerdale viewers saw Debbie (played by Charley Webb) receive an out of the blue text from Joe (Ned Porteous) earlier this evening.
But in a storyline twist could Debbie go in search of Joe and find his missing body?
It comes after the end of tonight’s episode saw Debbie ring Joe’s phone only for it to be answered by Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).
“Hi Debbie, Graham’s in a meeting, he must have left his phone, is there anything I can help you with?” she asked.
Stunned, Debbie replied: “No, no it’s fine. Er, I’ll call back later. Alright cheers.”
Charity then remarked: “Well that didn’t sound like Joe,” and Debbie replied: “No it was Priya, she thought I was calling Graham.
“So why the hell has Graham got Joe’s phone?”
Soap spoilers have already revealed how Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) will slip up and come clean to Debbie about being responsible for sending her text messages from Joe’s phone.
Whilst she will initially lash out in anger at the businessman, her brother Noah will convince her to help Graham.
But could she be playing a game, and manipulate Graham into trusting her to find out exactly where and what has happened to Joe?
Meanwhile, she has an impending court date for her involvement in the acid attack of Ross Barton (Michael Parr).
Debbie will deny her ordering Simon McManus to use acid as his weapon of choice, claiming she didn’t want Joe to have any lasting damage.
But could the court ask her where Joe is now?
It could then lead to Debbie initiating a search party for the whereabouts of Joe in order for him to defend her case and save herself from a lengthy prison sentence.
However, her situation is set to worsen when Debbie is delivered some shocking news.
In upcoming episodes Debbie will take a pregnancy test after feeling and experiencing all the signs.
Whilst the outcome is yet to be revealed, if she is pregnant with Joe’s child, could this fuel her need to find Joe even more?
Alongside that, Debbie is still unaware of her father Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) involvement in Joe’s disappearance.
Cain could soon join forces with Debbie and take down Graham once and for all when he finds out he wasn’t responsible for killing Joe.
Emmerdale airs week nights at 7pm on ITV.
