Nigella Lawson weight loss: What diet does she follow? Star on alcohol

Nigella Lawson, 58, the famous British chef, recently opened up about drinking on a podcast.

Speaking on the Table Manners podcast she told singer Jessie Ware: “I’m not very good at alcohol,” admits the TV chef. “I’ve never been a big drinker… I do like it.”

She also revealed how she trains for boozy holidays.

She said: “Last year, I went into training a bit because I went to Italy for three days, and so the two weeks before that I started having a glass of wine a bit each week to get used to it.”

She added that drinking can tend to heighten anxiety.

“I feel that I’m quite an anxious person and drink can really exacerbate that anxiety,” she said.

In recent years the stunning star has lost a lot of weight.

She revealed her new slimmed down look was actually down to an injury.

The chef told the Telegraph: “I had a very glamorous operation – a double bunionisation. I couldn’t walk to the fridge afterwards and, actually, it’s quite a good diet.

“Not because I stopped eating but because you can say to someone, ‘Can you get me a slice of cake?’ but it’s kind of embarrassing to say, ‘And now could you get me a second slice?

“It’s certainly true my weight went up [in recent years] – that happens in life sometimes.”

Nigella Lawson’s weight loss added up to an impressive two stone.

The chef has dropped from a size 16 to a size 12.

Star of The Taste, Nigella revealed she loves yoga in a bid to stay trim.

She also has said “I love kale and I’m an avocado obsessive.”

A Newcastle woman followed this weight loss diet plan to lose four stone. 

Jolene, 38, managed to lose a whopping five dress sizes, all through cutting takeaways out.

At her heaviest, Jolene was 19 stone, and would gorge on a staggering five takeaways a week.

She would binge on fried chicken and Chinese most nights, after filling her days with calorie-laden sandwiches, crisps and dips.
